Open to Italian and foreign nationals. Up to a maximum of 48 candidates will be selected.
Ideas submitted as an already-founded or in-formation startup are not admitted (Art. 1.9 of the Regulation): every idea is born and develops during the challenge.

Participation is entirely free. The Organiser covers meal costs for both days of the event (two lunches and the networking aperitif, Art. 1.5). Travel costs to reach Reggio Emilia and any other expense not expressly covered remain at the participant’s charge (Art. 1.6).
As set out in Art. 8 of the Regulation, participants retain full intellectual property of the ideas they propose, with the option to enter licensing or collaboration agreements with sponsor companies to develop the solutions.
No. Under Art. 1.9 of the Regulation, ideas submitted as an already-founded or in-formation startup are not admitted: every idea is born and developed during the challenge.
Applications received by 26 October 2026 (11:59 PM CET) are assessed by a panel based on CV, academic background and fit with the theme of the Initiative (Art. 4). The list of admitted candidates is published from 27 October 2026: those selected must confirm participation and sign the Commitment Letter within 24 hours (Art. 6 and 9).
