Through guidance services, welcome and settling-in support, training initiatives, events and networking opportunities, the project connects talent and skills with the local system of businesses, research, education and innovation.
The Reggio Emilia area is a major European economic engine, excelling in exports and the mechatronics sector. It is known for its advanced healthcare system, early childhood education and a growing university. The city’s distinctive strategic skills are the cornerstone of its transition towards a sustainable and inclusive local development model.
The Municipality of Reggio Emilia has in fact identified the Re-Acts plan in its mandate guidelines as a strategic element for the city’s development, based on two key concepts: the belief that a city’s transition is only possible if it is inclusive and participatory; and the need to combine environmental sustainability with the development of an economically prosperous society, in line with the idea of sustainable competitiveness.
